HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 9 (ACN) A 3.4-magnitude earthquake in the Cuban eastern provinces of Guantanamo and Santiago de Cuba was reported today by the National Center for Seismological Research (CNRS).
A report from that entity informed that the network of stations of the Cuban National Seismological Service registered the seismic movement at 7:29 a.m., located at coordinates 19.88 degrees north latitude and -75.49 degrees west longitude, at a depth of 28 kilometers, located 24 km southwest of the municipality of Niceto Perez, Guantanamo province.
So far there have been reports of perceptibility in the municipality of Santiago de Cuba, and in the province of Guantanamo. At press time, there have been no reports of human or material damage.
