HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 12 (ACN) The Cuban Ministry of Agriculture (MINAG) gave an update on the progress of the recovery effort currently under way in agricultural areas affected by Hurricane Rafael in western Cuba.
According to the note, hundreds of hectares of assorted crops have been recovered and ground crews are working on growing sheds, tobacco drying barns and irrigation machinery damaged by the hurricane.
The enterprise Brascuba S.A. remains engaged in equipment maintenance work, together with electrical workers striving to restore power in several communities.
The MINAG also remarked that dozens of pig and poultry farms have been repaired as resources are allocated to get all facilities shipshape and the distribution of beef and milk continues.
