HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 29 (ACN) The Council of State, at the proposal of the President of the Republic and with the prior approval of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC), agreed to make the following cadre movements:
1.To remove comrade Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, who committed errors in the performance of his duties, from the position of deputy prime minister.
2. To promote to the position of deputy prime minister the PhD in Science Eduardo Martinez Diaz, member of the National Assembly of People's Power and current minister of science, technology and the environment.
3. To appoint as minister of science, technology and environment, comrade Armando Rodriguez Batista, current deputy minister of that body.
Rodriguez Batista, 47 years old, is a radiochemical engineer and holds the scientific degree of Ph.D. in Science. He has worked for this institution for more than 20 years, from specialist in science and technology, director of science, technology and innovation to his current position. He is also a member of the technical team of the National Innovation Council.
