HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 25 (ACN) Taking into account that the current weather conditions in the Cuban easternmost province of Guantanamo, after the passage of Tropical Storm Oscar, do not constitute a danger, it was decided to establish the recovery phase for the municipalities of Maisi, Baracoa, Imias and San Antonio del Sur.
According to the informative note No.7 of the National Civil Defense General Staff on Tropical Storm Oscar, the other municipalities of the province are returning to normal.
It is directed to the management bodies to take into account the experiences acquired during the preparations and response to this event for the updating of the disaster risk reduction plans and to the population to comply in a disciplined behavior with the instructions given by the local authorities and not to commit recklessness that could put people's lives at risk.
The statement acknowledged the work carried out by the province's management bodies and the discipline shown by the population in complying with the measures oriented during the preparations for and response to this event.
