Havana, Oct 23 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel toured the areas severely affected by the passage of Hurricane Oscar in eastern Guantanamo province.
“The damage inflicted is so severe that it turns overwhelming; it’s only overcome by the high spirit of this people, who have admirable resilience,” Diaz-Canel wrote on X.
He added that Guantanamo is not alone, because it is receiving the support of all Cuban provinces.
The damage inflicted by the storm in Guantanamo affected over 2 thousand homes, dozens of them totally collapsed, while others lost their roofs.lc
