HOLGUIN, Cuba, Oct 22 (ACN) The electric system in the province of Holguin is already recovered and with vitality in its main facilities and networks, after the total disconnection occurred in that system last Friday.
Ruber Reinaldo Gonzalez, director of Electric Company in the province, told the Cuban News Agency (ACN) that 97 % of the clients have service at this moment and from the early hours of this morning all the possible charge began to be generated in order to reach the greatest number of localities.
He pointed out that there are still difficulties in the municipalities of Frank Pais, Mayari and Urbano Noris, where there are several circuits in failure, which have been identified and work is being done to restore them.
He also explained that the Lidio Ramon Perez de Felton thermoelectric power plant in the municipality of Mayari, after overcoming numerous setbacks, synchronized in the morning hours with the National Electric Power System (SEN), representing an important advance in its recovery.
However, the executive explained, this does not mean that the contingency is over, since there are still difficulties in the water supply associated with the energy deficit, which will be reestablished in the next 72 hours.
At the closing of this information, more than 70 % of the country's customers have service and the solution of the faults presented is being worked on, according to a statement issued by the Electric Company.
