HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 16 (ACN) In a post on X, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel reiterated Cuba’s commitment to take action in favor of food sovereignty with the help of science and innovation and the active contribution of all economic actors.
In his message, the Head of State also expressed his gratitude to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) for helping the island in this endeavor.
World Food Day is celebrated every year worldwide on October 16 since 1981, one year after it was first proclaimed by FAO.
