HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 16 (ACN) In a post on X, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated the members of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (MINFAR) on the 65th anniversary of the institution, which he referred to as the entity that gathers the forces of the “uniformed people” and stands as a bulwark in the face of every challenge.
Back when it came into being, Díaz-Canel recalled in his message, the Minister of the Armed Forces was a very young Commander Raúl Castro.
On the same social network, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz sent a hug to the founders of MINFAR and called them faithful defenders of socialism and of Cuban sovereignty, whereas Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the National Assembly of People's Power and of the Council of State, congratulated the chiefs, officers and soldiers of the heroic and historic institution, which he described as a guaranteed protector of the Homeland, the Revolution and Socialism.
