HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 27 (ACN) Cuba and the Dominican Republic evaluated the behavior of the migratory flow between both nations during the 13th Round of Migratory Talks.
The meeting was chaired by Opinio Diaz, vice minister for Consular and Migratory Affairs of the Dominican foreign ministry, and Elio Rodriguez Perdomo, vice minister of foreign affairs of Cuba, the Cuban foreign ministry reported on its website.
During the working sessions, the delegations evaluated the status of implementation of the MOU on Migratory Issues, in force between the two countries, as well as consular issues of mutual interest.
The parties reiterated the importance of this type of meetings and reaffirmed the will to continue carrying out joint actions to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the migratory and consular fields, in order to guarantee a regular, orderly and safe flow of travelers.
As part of the program activities, the Cuban delegation held a meeting with members of the Cuban community residing in that country, an expression of the continuous strengthening of relations between Cuba and its nationals abroad.
