HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 24 (ACN) The presentation in this city of the book Actos de Guerra (Acts of War) became a genuine literary workshop on political and historical facts of the confrontation of Cuban and U.S. intelligence and counterintelligence agencies, addressed in what Alberto Marrero Fernandez, president of the Writers' Association of the Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC) described as “an excellent novel about the plans of subversion, terrorism, covert action and clandestine war of the U.S. government against our country through its intelligence services and the Cuban or non-Cuban profit-seeking supporters of an inhumane blockade which for more than 60 years has caused incalculable damage and suffering”.
Enrique J. Wong Gutiérrez, Master of International Relations and winner of the 2022 Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution, is the author of this text that provides an updated look at the Empire's unscrupulous ways as part of the fourth generation war of the current U.S. military doctrine, marked by media warfare in social networks, cyberattacks targeted on the civilian population to demonize the top Cuban leaders and undermine the people’s support for the Revolution.
Actos de Guerra touches on the network of CIA and FBI agents, the mercenaries of the so-called “contractor agencies”, white supremacist brotherhoods, mobsters, hitmen and Cubans in the island who are driven by ambition and vice.
The book even mentions the goal of turning everything upside down through one of the characters that paraphrases Allen Dulles, the first civilian director of the CIA and mastermind of many plans against Cuba and even the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963.
Likewise, the author announced another project in the making, namely an updating of the novel Los ecos de Nwoodsorth, about a 1962 operation of the U.S. Army intended to get the American people’s support for a military action against Cuba.
