Havana, Sept 24 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel called on the people to be cautious amidst intense rains predicted for western and central Cuba as storm Helene passes near the western tip of the island.
On his X account, Diaz-Canel ordered all authorities to take the necessary actions to protect human lives, material resources and property.
The passage of storm Helene through the Yucatan channel is pouring heavy rains in Western and Central Cuba. Along with torrential rains, Helene is also affecting the western Cuban region with strong tropical storm winds particularly in the province of Pinar del Rio and the Isle of Youth. lc
