HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 24 (ACN) Cuba will advocate at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) for an equitable and democratic international system, where peace and sustainable development are achieved.
This was stressed today by Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, who attended the opening of the High-Level Segment of the General Debate of the deliberative body, at the UN headquarters in New York City.
On X, the foreign minister also pointed out that his country will continue denouncing the arbitrary unilateral coercive measures against the people of the South.
Rodriguez Parrilla arrived Friday in the U.S. city to complete a work agenda that includes, besides his participation in this 79th Session of the UNGA, his attendance to the Summit of the Future and the 5th Meeting of Cubans Residing in US.
On Monday, the head of Cuban diplomacy spoke at the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), where he called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza Strip.
