Havana to host international renewable energy fair

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 17 (ACN) The 3rd International Exhibition of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency will be opened this Wednesday at the Pabexpo fairgrounds and its exhibitions will be held until Friday.

An official release from the Ministry of Energy and Mines confirmed that the event has the support of the European Union through its project of Exchange of Experiences, in coordination with the International and Ibero-American Foundation, dedicated to the international cooperation in matters of administration and public policies.

This is the main meeting of the sector in the country, with a biennial frequency and this professional platform will bring together entrepreneurs, investors and high-level national and foreign experts, to exchange experiences, technological advances and development programs related to Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency.

Its agenda includes the Commercial Exhibition: for companies to present their products and innovations, in addition to offering training workshops and business rounds.

Also, the Sustainable Energy Forum, where lectures will be given by personalities from international organizations and national entities.

Furthermore, the Investment Forum, a space to promote foreign investment in electricity generation and other energy projects, especially the use of biomass and solar energy; and the Panel on the New Policy for Cuba's Energy Transition, an exchange between government representatives and sectors involved.

There is also a Dialogue Table, coordinated by Cuban universities for the development of renewable sources and energy efficiency at the local level.
