Cuban easternmost province to showcase natural potentialities at Turnat 2024

GUANTANAMO, Cuba, Sep 16 (ACN) Guantanamo's environment and biodiversity will be among the main attractions for those attending Turnat 2024, the most important international nature tourism event in the Caribbean island, which in its 14th edition will be held from September 24 to 29 in the eastern provinces of Granma, Santiago de Cuba and the easternmost province of the country, Guantanamo.

Arlin Alonso Avila, commercial specialist of the territorial delegation of the Ministry of Tourism in the territory, told the Cuban News Agency that everything is ready for the event, in which the essence of Guantanamo will be projected to the world, in a combination of culture, nature and history tourism.

She informed that the event will be held in the province from September 26 to 28 and will be attended by 30 delegates, including tour operators, travel agencies, promoters and opinion leaders who know, love, promote and manage nature tourism.

Alonso Avila explained that the event was organized in six route groups, and Guantanamo is positioned in number three, with the main activity of photographic safari, which will allow participants to shoot the natural beauty in images, which will travel the world through social networks.

Turnat is held every two years in different regions of the country, and in addition to showing Cuba's natural potential, it also promotes the conservation of natural resources and fosters cooperation among actors of the tourist landscape, in search of enriching the local tourist offer.
