HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 8 (ACN) In a post on X, the Cuban Foreign Ministry saluted the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with the Republic of Rwanda and ratified the island’s will to keep strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
A landlocked country located in East Africa with a total area of 26,338 km2, Rwanda has always supported the resolution against the U.S. blockade that Cuba submits every year to the United Nations.
In March this year, Cuban Minister of Public Health José Ángel Portal and and his Rwandan counterpart Sabin Nsanzimana signed a memorandum of understanding to increase cooperation in the field of health care.
These agreements contribute to a better future through vital and sensitive joint cooperation programs in areas such as human resources training, capacity building, teaching and research.
