Cuban and Vietnamese journalists share experiences

MATANZAS, Cuba, Sep 4 (ACN) A dozen journalists led by Trần Trọng Dũng, vice president of the Vietnamese Association of Journalists (VAJ) visited media outlets in the province of Matanzas, where they learned about the history and the most recent transformations of the local weekly Girón in line with the ongoing national experiment to modify the Cuban press model.

The visitors also received information about the management of the flow of information, the efforts to make the most of the available technology, and the salary system, among other issues.

Mr. Trọng Dũng thanked his hosts for the opportunity, which he described as very useful with a view to an upcoming seminar that the Cuban and Vietnamese journalists will have this week in Havana.

During the visit, which also included the local radio station Radio 26 and TV Yumurí, the Vietnamese delegation handed over a donation that included a bronze drum, a symbol of their culture, as well as laptop computers, tablets, cell phones and notebooks.
