Cuban Academy of Sciences reiterates call for its awards 2024

 

HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 20 (ACN) The Cuban Academy of Sciences (ACC) renewed in Havana its call to apply for its national awards for the results of scientific research 2024, whose deadline for admission of proposals in person or virtual expires on October 30

The call for the new edition of the awards issued by the ACC for 38 years, invites representatives of the national scientific community to promote the research-development process in all branches of science and technology, in each of the sections of the institution.

It emphasizes the need to encourage studies in the agricultural and fishing sciences, technical, natural and exact sciences, biomedical sciences and social and humanistic sciences, although research in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary fields will also be considered, in accordance with the requirements of their corresponding objects, with a view to promoting the sustainable development of the country.

According to its rules, studies that demonstrate a novel contribution to knowledge, with due national and international visibility, and clearly and reliably express the positive impact, obtained or feasible to achieve, in the scientific, social or economic field of the nation, will be stimulated.

The evaluation will be by branches of science and in the case of works in interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary fields, groups of experts will be formed.
