HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 19 (ACN) The actions of external meddling and political-media manipulation against Venezuela must cease, said Bruno Rodriquez Parrilla, Cuban foreign minister.
On X, Cuban diplomat urged to respect the institutions and internal processes of the South American nation and allow Venezuelans to solve their own affairs.
Last week Nicolas Maduro, President of Venezuela, rejected the pretensions of the US government to set itself up as the Venezuelan electoral authority regarding the results of the July 28 presidential elections.
According to local media, on Sunday, magistrates of the Electoral Chamber of the Venezuelan Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) visited the National Electoral Council (CNE) to begin the validation of the physical tally sheets with those received at the national totalization center.
The process was initiated once the 100% transcription of the scrutiny records requested by the Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice was completed, in connection with the lawsuit filed by Maduro to clarify the alleged claim of fraud by the ultra-right wing.
Such procedure of the Supreme Court of Justice is carried out in accordance with articles 7, 12 and 14 of the Code of Civil Procedure, in express reference to article 98 of the Organic Law of the TSJ.
