HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 13 (ACN) In the context of the 98th anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, the Fidel Castro Ruz Center is consolidating as a faithful promoter of his work through children-oriented summer activities.
The Center has organized a workshop on Museology to help them combine their lessons with the exhibits about Cuban history, as well as workshops on Handicrafts—given by a visiting Catalan group—and Chess, the latter with the help of Grand Master Vivian Ramon and other members of the Cuban Chess Federation.
Sissi Abay Díaz, deputy director of the Center, praised the cooperation of other national institutions to make these workshops possible and remarked that the younger generations of Cubans did not have the chance to live in the Commander’s time, so teaching them about his life is a prime mission of this entity.
The Fidel Castro Ruz Center, based in Havana, is engaged in the study and dissemination of the thoughts, work, life and example of the historic leader of the Revolution through research, interactive access to information. and the permanent identification of the people with his values.
