HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 11 (ACN) In posts on X, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parilla expressed their solidarity with the people of Brazil and the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva for the fatal plane crash in São Paulo on Friday and sent condolences to the families of the victims.
The twin-engine ATR-72 model aircraft of the Voepass airline was flying from Cascavel, in the state of Paraná, to Guarulhos airport in the city of São Paulo.
The aircraft, with 58 passengers and four crew members on board, crashed to the ground with no survivors reported.
Brazilian President Lula paid tribute to the victims at an event where he was speaking and asked the audience to stand and have a minute of silence in honor of the victims.
