Cuban VP attends debates of the Agri-Food Commission of Parliament

 

HAVANA, Cuba, Jul 15 (ACN) Salvador Valdes Mesa, member of the Political Bureau and vice president of the country, is attending today in Havana the debates of the Agrifood Commission, as a preview of the 3rd Ordinary Period of Sessions of the 10th Legislature of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP).

From the Havana Convention Center, Alberto Lopez Diaz, Minister of Food Industry, will present the report of the highest audit of the Ministry he heads.
The results of the sugar harvest in the 2023-2024 period and the progress of the Government Plan to correct distortions and boost the economy in the sector will be presented.

Ramon Aguilar Betancourt, president of the Agri-Food Commission, will present an analysis of 10 companies classified as exporting poles, while Ydael Perez Brito, head of Agriculture, will address the behavior of agreement X/37 of the ANPP referred to the business system and its economic development at the end of June this year.

The representatives of the ministries involved and the Azcuba Sugar Group will address the treatment of the previous processes of accountability and dispatch of delegates to their constituents.

Jose Ramon Monteagudo Ruiz, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and head of the Agro-Alimentary Department, will also participate in the debates.

During Monday and until July 16, the Permanent Working Commissions of the Cuban Parliament will be in session.
