Havana, May 21 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of Cuba’s Communist Party Central Committee and Cuban President congratulated on Tuesday all workers with the Cuban News Agency on the occasion of the 50th birthday of the media outlet.
“Our congratulations and tight hug for the workers of the Cuban News Agency on this 50th anniversary of hard work and commitment throughout the country,” the Cuban head of state wrote on X.
Meanwhile, the president of the Cuban Parliament, Esteban Lazo, also wrote on X conveying “special congratulations” to the ACN collective, devoted to a journalism committed to our people and truth and to inform about national and international events.
Communist Party Organization Secretary Roberto Morales also congratulated ACN workers and wished them success in their mission.
Founded on May 21st, 1974 originally as Agencia de Informacion Nacional (AIN), the ACN offers updated information on Cuba through a correspondents’ network about all areas of Cuban everyday life.
