HAVANA, Cuba, May 14 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban foreign minister, praised today the participation of representatives of the U.S. agricultural sector at the 5th Joint Conference of the sector, which is being held in Havana.
The foreign minister thanked the Agricultural Coalition, businessmen and officials from different entities of the northern country, for their presence in the event opened on Monday, with a greater attendance of U.S. representatives compared to previous editions.
They remind us of the importance of moving forward and overcoming the absurdity and cruelty of the prohibitions of the tightened blockade, which punish both people, Rodriguez Parrilla added on his message on X.
On the first day of the meeting, which will conclude tomorrow, the parties met at the Hotel Nacional and expressed their willingness to strengthen bilateral trade and joint production between the two nations, despite the unilateral restrictive policy of the White House.
The US delegation was represented by Paul Johnson, president of Focus Cuba; Congressman Rick Crawford and PhD Michael Strain, Commissioner of Agriculture of the State of Louisiana, who agreed on the importance of these meetings, in the effort to achieve greater rapprochement in the strategic sector between the two countries.
