HAVANA, Cuba, May 10 (ACN) Manuel Marrero Cruz, member of the Political Bureau and Cuban PM, congratulated today the staff of Bohemia magazine, on the 116th anniversary of the publishing of its first copy.
On X, the head of the Cuban Government sent a hug to the workers of the oldest magazine in the country.
On the occasion, Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, expressed his admiration for the magazine's hard work and for the fact that it continues to be a masterpiece of the country's historical memory.
Founded in 1908, Bohemia began as an illustrated, non-specialized weekly magazine that dealt only with cultural matters.
In 1960, the magazine was intervened by the rising Revolution in power and the journalist Enrique de la Osa was appointed as editor, maintaining a journalistic work that combined politics, sports, culture, science and economy, as well as national and international current affairs.
