HAVANA, cUBA, May 6 (ACN) On the 105th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Portugal, the Caribbean island ratifies today the commitment to strengthen ties.
On X, Cuban foreign ministry hailed the anniversary of the establishment of ties between the two countries, which took place on May 6, 1919.
"We reiterate our will to continue strengthening friendship and cooperation ties between both nations," Cuban foreign ministry stated.
According to experts, these ties have been characterized by being uninterrupted and based on historical and cultural traditions.
Portugal is one of Cuba's main trading partners among European and world countries and always supports the Cuban Resolution against the U.S. blockade at the United Nations General Assembly.
