CIENFUEGOS, Cuba, May 5 (ACN) During the 13th International Meeting “Presence of Paulo Freire” held in this city, the World Council of Academics and University Researchers (COMAU) granted membership to two Cuban education professionals.
COMAU president Orlando Terré Camacho gave the said recognition to Enrique Pérez and Elizabeth Gradaille Ramas, professors with the Conrado Benítez Pedagogical University and members of the Cuba Chapter of the World Council—established this year—which strengthens alliances and facilitates the improvement of educational and innovative practices.
Gradaille Ramas, who works for the Psycho-pedagogical Office, has been engaged in the initial training of professionals for the Latin American educational system, whereas Enrique Perez is director of the Child Neurodevelopment Office created by Terré Camacho more than 10 years ago.
The 13th International Meeting “Presence of Paulo Freire” gathered 377 researchers from eight countries who presented more than 220 papers.
