Cuba evoked Fidel's concept of Revolution

HAVANA, Cuba, May 1 (ACN) On May Day, Cuba evoked the concept of Revolution that Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro made public 24 years ago and in which he synthesized the principles of the island’s revolutionary project.

Roberto Morales Ojeda, secretary of organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, recalled the occasion and reasserted fidelity to what he described as a guide for the continuity of the Revolution’s work.

Fidel wrote then: "Revolution is a sense of the historic moment; it is about changing everything that must be changed, full equality and freedom, being treated and treating others as human beings, becoming emancipated by our own efforts, challenging powerful domineering forces inside and outside the social and national sphere, protecting values in which one believes at any sacrifice."

The Cuban leader added: "It is fighting with courage, intelligence and realism, and never lying or breaching ethical principles; it is profound conviction that no force in the world can crush the strength of truth and ideas (...) “Revolution is unity and independence; it is about fighting for our dreams of justice for Cuba and the world, which is at the root of our patriotism, our socialism, and our internationalism.”
