Raúl and Díaz-Canel attend May Day parade in Havana

HAVANA, Cuba, May 1 (ACN) Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution, and Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, are in the Central Act in celebration of International Workers' Day underway in Havana.

The José Martí Anti-imperialist Tribune is the venue for the celebration, where nearly 200 thousand people from five municipalities of Havana will attend.

In the rest of the provinces, rallies are being held in unison in the main squares to welcome the multitude of Cubans who will celebrate the 65th anniversary of the first workers' parade held after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959.

Cubans will once again demand the end of the U.S. economic blockade and the exclusion of the island from the illegal list of countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism, as well as to demonstrate their majority support for the socialist project.
