HAVANA, Cuba, May 1 (ACN) Squares and workplaces across the country are hosting this Wednesday from very early in the morning the atmosphere of celebration of International Workers' Day, under the slogan For Cuba Together We Create.
Miguel Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President of the Republic, shared on the social network X that he is already at the José Martí Anti-Imperialist Tribune, in the capital, where the central act for May Day will be held shortly.
“Good morning, #Cuba! Already at the Anti-Imperialist Tribune to celebrate together with our beloved people the #1DeMayo,” wrote the head of state, and accompanied his message with the hashtag #PorCubaJuntosCremos.
Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, member of the Political Bureau and secretary general of the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC), stressed in X that the May Day rallies and parades are a popular demonstration of unity and commitment
The more than 1,000 delegates from 220 countries participating in the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba are also arriving at the José Martí Anti-imperialist Tribune, to also demand an end to the blockade, the CTC informed in X.
The member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez, highlighted that the workers of the Foreign Ministry celebrate the proletariat's celebration in several squares of Havana, since the Cuban revolutionary diplomacy is always together with the people, in defense of the Homeland and socialism.
“The squares and parks of Cuba are dawning with the joy of May 1st. Let us celebrate for unity, for the spirit of struggle and victory, for the justice we will never renounce. Long live Workers' Day", said Jorge Luis Perdomo, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic, on that platform.
For his part, José Ángel Portal, head of Public Health, emphasized that for Cuba and the future, the squares of the whole country are once again filled with joy, with the conviction that unity is an indestructible force.
“In this endeavor, the Homeland can always count on Cuban Public Health workers,” he added.
