Cubans parade in May Day

HAVANA, Cuba, May 1 (ACN) Details are being finalized throughout the country to celebrate this May Day, the International Workers' Day, a celebration that annually brings together thousands of nationals and foreigners in this capital.

This year, the main venue for the event will be the José Martí Anti-imperialist Tribune, where about 200,000 people from five municipalities of Havana are expected to attend.

In the rest of the provinces, concentrations are also being prepared in the main squares to welcome the multitude of Cubans who will celebrate the 65th anniversary of the first workers' parade held after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959.

Cubans will once again demand the end of the U.S. economic blockade and the exclusion of the island from the illegal list of countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism, as well as to show their majority support for the socialist project.
