HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 30 (ACN) Rolando Gonzalez Patricio, president of the International Relations Commission of the National Assembly of People's Power, received today Alice Portugal, president of the Brazil-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, to discuss issues of bilateral interest.
On X, the Cuban Parliament shared images of the meeting that took place Tuesday at the National Capitol in Havana.
During a meeting with Adolfo Curbelo Castellanos, Cuban ambassador to the South American country, the Brazilian congresswoman had shown her interest in strengthening parliamentary ties and in making a visit to Havana for this purpose.
With the inauguration of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to the presidency in January 2023, the ties between Brazil and Cuba, which suffered a setback during former President Jair Bolsonaro's administration (2019-2023), were revived.
