HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 30 (ACN) Delegates to the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba and Anti-imperialism visited today, in Havana, the Central Unit of Medical Cooperation (UCCM by its Spanish acronym), as part of their tours of labor collectives with an impact on the country's development.
According to the Cuban Workers' Federation (CTC by its Spanish acronym), the visitors from countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, France, Spain, Italy and the Dominican Republic, learned about the history of the more than 600,000 health workers who have provided assistance in 165 countries around the world.
On the same social network, the UCCM pointed out that during their stay at the medical institution, the delegations participated in a pre-parade for May 1st, which was attended by collaborators and Health Work Heroes.
Organized by the CTC, the national unions and the Cuban I Friendship Institute (ICAP by its Spanish acronym), the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba and Anti-imperialism will be held until May 2 in order to strengthen global solidarity with the Cuban people and its Revolution.
The members of the solidarity groups will also learn about the difficulties derived from the economic, financial and commercial blockade of the United States against the island for more than six decades.
