Havana, April 9 (ACN) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez stressed on X the election of Cuba on Tuesday as member of the United Nations Commission for Social Development and the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ).
The election of Cuba proves the international recognition of our country’s work in those areas, wrote the Foreign Minister.
Cuba will join the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice from 2025 to 2027 and the Commission for Social Development from 2025 to 2029; both commissions are subsidiary organs of the UN Economic and Social Council, ECOSOC.
ECOCOC assists the UN General Assembly in the promotion of cooperation and economic, social and international development.
