Havana, April 4 (ACN) Cuba’s Foreign Trade and Investment Ministry and China’s International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) singed cooperation accords in Havana on Thursday to expand exchange in several areas of common interest.
A MOU on the donation of rice, a protocol on the strengthening of cooperation in the development of human resources, and another memo on the promotion of a project for new solar panel parks were signed during a meeting between Cuban deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Ricardo Cabrisas and a Chinese delegation headed by CIDCA Chairman Luo Zhaohui.
Cabrisas extended his gratefulness for the Chinese donation of 20 thousand 408 tons of rice this year and for the permanent support by the Chinese people, government and Communist Party, which he said is a practical expression of the Global Development Initiative.
Meanwhile, Luo Zhaohui stressed Cuba’s efforts despite factors like the US blockade and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The two sides affirmed their willingness to keep deepening relations of friendship and solidarity and to build a common future.
