HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 4 (ACN) With the presence of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, the 12th Congress of the Young Communist League (UJC) will have its final session today.
For two days, the delegates discussed the participation of the new generations in the economic struggle, the organization’s internal functioning, cadre policies, political and ideological work, the defense of the Homeland, and social programs for young people, among other issues.
They also made a public denunciation of the U.S. blockade as the main obstacle to the island’s development and the way if harms daily life in key fields such as public health, power generation, scientific research, and food production.
The event was home to the celebrations for the anniversaries of the UJC and the José Martí Pioneer Students Organization.
