HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 3 (ACN) Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, deputy minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba (MINREX), and Carlos Márcio Bicalho Cozendey, secretary of Multilateral Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, held fruitful talks about issues of common interest included in the multilateral agenda.
The Cuban official thanked her counterpart for Brazil's valuable and traditional support for the UN General Assembly resolution on the need to put an end to the U.S. blockade of Cuba and praised Brazil's leadership within the BRICS and the G-20.
On his end, Mr. Bicalho commended Cuba’s performance as president of the G77+China during 2023, as well as the island's activism in multilateral negotiation forums.
Both parties agreed on the need to strengthen the coordination of positions on issues of common interest in defense of the interests of the South.
