Cuba has a new platform for online certification requests

HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 2 (ACN) The new ACX Digital Certificates platform, in charge of issuing recognized certificates for identification and advanced electronic signature, is available in the country as of Monday, April 1.

This service provider, developed by the Defense Information Technology Enterprise (Xetid by its Spanish acronym), allows any natural or legal person to carry out procedures, obtain and sign digital documentation, with legal validity, explained to Granma newspaper Noel Alvarado Cepero, director of the basic Digital Economy unit of that entity.

The specialist said that ACX has a multiplatform infrastructure that enables the subscription, registration, search and inspection of certificates; the issuance of these documents for applications and contents, and the service of certifying entity.

Alvarado Cepero pointed out that it is made up of a combination of solutions and services that allow the automation and computerization of processes or official procedures for citizens, in addition to optimizing processes, guaranteeing the security of electronic data.

The platform maintains a constant update of the validity of the certificates issued, which can be reviewed through the procedure established for this purpose, he added.

The executive explained that among its benefits is also the offer of associated services for the issuance, revocation and renewal of digital identities, and constitutes a boost to innovation, by supporting the formation of companies in emerging sectors.
