Diaz-Canel toured companies in western province part of the country

JOVELLANOS, MATANZAS, Cuba, Mar 26 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and president of the country, stressed today that the Vladimir Ilich Lenin Agricultural Enterprise, located in this locality, has the potential to produce for the province of Matanzas and also for Cuba.

In a working tour of the entity, recognized as one of the most important of its kind in the Caribbean nation, the president learned about the recovery of the tapado houses, from last October to date, which were previously unproductive and have already contributed about 6.9 tons of various crops.

Accompanied by Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee, Diaz-Canel stressed the need to replace the energy matrix of irrigation machines and use solar panels.

Eriberto Gonzalez Jimenez, director of the Basic Business Unit Houses of protected crops, said that they currently have 36 houses, of which 26 are mainly planted with tomatoes, as well as peppers, cabbage and eggplant.

The tour participated in by Susely Morfa Gonzalez, first secretary of the PCC in Matanzas, and Mario Sabines Lorenzo, governor of the province, also includes the Basic Business Unit of the Agricultural Technical Services Company of Matanzas located in this eminently agricultural municipality.

During his visit, the Cuban president acknowledged and encouraged the engine repair shop and emphasized that we must work to make this year a better one.

At the Basic Business Unit, belonging to the Matanzas Agricultural Technical Services Enterprise, the President was interested in the management of human resources and the obtaining of profits that can contribute to improving the living conditions of the workers.

Cuban head of state acknowledged the progress made in this first quarter of the year at the center, based on the linkage with non-state management, and insisted on what else can be done, what are the true potentialities of the center?
