Cuban university maintains alliances with 28 countries

CAMAGUEY, Cuba, Mar 26 (ACN) In support of the fundamental processes of the Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz University of Camagüey( Cuban central east territory), the academic institution has more than 200 agreements between frameworks and specific agreements with 28 countries from several continents.

Yaile Caballero Mota, director of International Relations of the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz, mentioned that Angola, Belarus, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Russia, Uganda and Venezuela are among the countries with which they maintain collaborative relations.
She affirmed that internationalization has a positive impact on the development of the university's scientific lines, research projects and approved innovation programs.

In this regard, she pointed out that in the line of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and the program for the informatization of society, the creation of the International Artificial Intelligence Research Institute at the Hebei University of International Studies in the People's Republic of China, stands out among the results of greatest impact, where a PhD program, two master's degrees, a double degree program and the publication of a book on Artificial Intelligence in Chinese, Spanish and English are also being offered.

In collaboration with Belgium, the executive added, the food sovereignty and nutritional education program is being promoted, as well as agribusiness, ICT, biotechnology and economic development through VLIR programs and projects.

Also, tourism is advancing from internationalization through strong relations with the Balearic Islands and the University of Cadiz, while the sustainable local development management program and the economic development line are promoted through international projects financed by the European Union, the French Development Agency and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
