PINAR DEL RIO, Cuba, Mar 25 (ACN) Forces from the westernmost province of Pinar del Rio Electric Company are working hard to repair the damages suffered by the infrastructure due to the passage of a band of pre-frontal clouds, which hit different localities of the province on Saturday.
Engineer Iosvany Siles Morales, technical director of that entity, explained to the Cuban News Agency that 23 cars with their brigades are working to restore in the shortest possible time the damages caused by the rainfall and severe local storms.
He emphasized that priority is being given to repairing the three pending primary distribution lines that are currently operating partially, of the 11 that were damaged, in addition to repairing the faults caused in the transformers and in the individual service, Siles Morales pointed out.
It remains to restore service to some 560 customers of the 13,685 that were damaged in the westernmost province, he continued.
Likewise, a contingent made up of 45 workers has been supporting since yesterday the recovery of the electric system in Havana, a territory that also suffered damages due to the deterioration of weather conditions.
