Havana, March 21 (ACN) Havana will host the 14th International Construction Fair, April 23-26—with Russia as guest of honor and the participation of representatives of 10 nations.
Deputy Construction minister Antonio Medina told reporters that the fair will promote actions to improve the island’s construction sector. He added that the 14th International Scientific and Technical Conference will run parallel to the fair, April 24 and 25, at Havana’s Conventions Hall.
The scientific-technical forum will focus on issues like the application of science and innovation to sustainable development of the construction sector, the use of I.T and Communications in the management of investment projects and systems guaranteeing the quality of civil works, said the president of the Organizing Committee of the forum, Antonio Caparo.
The official stressed the role of universities and other educational institutions in the transformation and innovation of the construction industry.
