Cuba and China Stress Close Bilateral Relations

Havana, March 20 (ACN) Cuban Parliament President Esteban Lazo met with Chinese ambassador to Cuba Ma Hui at Havana’s Capitol building, seat of the Cuban National Assembly of People’s Power.

Since that point in time, excellent bilateral relations have advanced particularly after renewed consensuses agreed to by Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and his counterpart Xi Jinping, who considered the comprehensive development of bilateral links a top priority, Lazo pointed out.

The Cuban official proposed to keep strengthening the exchange between the Cuban and Chinese parliaments and took the occasion to express his gratefulness for China’s of support of Cuba in difficult times, including the assistance and donations given to the island during the COVID-19 pandemic, the passage of hurricanes and after accidents occurred in different Cuban provinces.

The island’s Parliament president acknowledged the work of ambassador Ma Hui as he has contributed to the strengthening of bilateral relations.
