Diaz-Canel and Cuban PM attend international events held in Havana

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 19 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country, and Manuel Marrero Cruz, member of the Political Bureau and prime minister, are attending today the opening of the 19th International Fair "Informatica 2024" and the 3rd International Colloquium "Patria", events held at the Pabexpo fairgrounds in Havana.

In the case of the Fair, the president and the head of the Cuban government will visit the stands of 72 exhibitors, including 22 foreign entities from a dozen countries.

For the first time, economic actors from the communications sector will participate in this section, as well as state-owned and private companies and entities engaged in the management of science, technology and innovation and self-employed workers.

The 3rd International Colloquium Patria, which began on March 18, has more than 200 participants representing 28 countries, who discuss the coordination between progressive forces, the use of information and communications technologies (ICT) and the creation of content.

Both events are held at Pabexpo to exchange ideas on digital communication, politics and the sovereign development of ICTs.
