Havana, March 18 (ACN) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez welcomed the Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of our Americas -People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) Jorge Arreaza.
The two officials exchanged views on the Alliance’s cooperation programs, according to Rodriguez’ X account.
Upon his arrival in Havana, the ALBA-TCP official was received by Carlos de Cespdes, director for South America at Cuba’s Foreign Ministry.
Arreaza was appointed to his post on February 19 and he is to advance an ambitious working plan, the 2030 strategic agenda, aimed at boosting the integral consolidation of the alliance in the coming years.
ALBA-TCP was set up on December 14, 2004 in response to the ALCA or Free Trade Area of the Americas, with an emphasis on the social field by placing human beings at the epicenter of integration and union and under the principles of solidarity, justice and cooperation.
