HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 18 (ACN) Under the theme "For a digital society", the 19th International Convention and Fair “Informatics 2024” begins today in Havana with delegates from 16 countries, including Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Canada, the United States, Brazil, France, China, Japan, and Russia.
Wilfredo González Vidal, First Deputy Minister of Communications, recently announced that the conference will provide a context to share views and showcase the results achieved by Cuba and other countries in terms of digital transformation.
“Technology plays an increasingly important role in national economic and social development and, in Cuba's case, in the promotion of a government management system based on science, technology and innovation,” he remarked.
Among the topics for discussion are artificial intelligence, women’s engagement in ICT activity, robotics, cybersecurity, e-commerce and e-government, and the development of business technologies.
