Havana, March 12 (ACN) Cuba congratulated the people and government of the east African island nation of Mauritius for the 56th anniversary of its independence.
The Cuban Foreign Ministry uploaded a message on X affirming the Caribbean nation’s willingness to keep working to strengthen relations and establish bilateral cooperation links with Mauritius.
Mauritius, a sovereign island nation in the southeastern Indian Ocean, got its independence from British Rule on March 12th, 1968, and became a republic in 1992.
Cuba and Mauritius established diplomatic relations in 1976.
