HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 8 (ACN) Army General Raul Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution, is accompanying today the Cuban Women's Federation (FMC by its Spanish acronym), which is holding its 11th Congress at the Convention Center in Havana.
Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country, and members of the Political Bureau Esteban Lazo Hernandez and Manuel Marrero Cruz, president of the National Assembly of People's Power and Prime Minister of the Republic, respectively, are also present.
On this closing day of the congress, the opinions of the four working commissions were presented, with proposals for the improvement of the internal life of the FMC and its impact on the socio-economic transformation of the country.
The participants supported the confrontation of crime, illegalities and corruption, since they constitute evils that obstruct the full development of the Revolution.
They also issued a solidarity statement with Palestine in the face of the genocide that nation is suffering at the hands of the Zionist government of Israel.
Under the slogan "Cuban women, conquerors of the impossible" the 11th Congress of the Cuban Women's Federation will conclude Friday in Havana.
