HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 4 (ACN) Manuel Marrero Cruz, Cuban Politburo member and Prime Minister of the country, is attending today the main ceremony for the Hotel and Tourism Workers' Day, which is being held in Havana.
The head of government is accompanied by Yudi Rodriguez Hernandez, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and head of the department of attention to services; Luis Antonio Torres Iribar, first secretary of the PCC in Havana; Yanet Hernandez Perez, governor of the city, and Juan Carlos Garcia Granda, head of tourism.
Representatives of the Hotel and Tourism Workers Association also attended the event.
Every March 4, Cuba celebrates the Day of the Hotel and Tourism Workers in honor of Elpidio Sosa, martyr of the assault on the Moncada Garrison, who was born on this date, but in 1929.
