Cuban delegates to attend Youth Festival are flag bearers in Havana

HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 26 (ACN) Summoning efforts, uniting young revolutionaries in defense of just causes, denouncing the atrocities of imperialism and the Israeli genocide against Palestine will be some of the motivations of the Cuban delegation that will participate in the Youth Festival, to be held March 1 to 7 in the Russian city of Sochi.

At the Jose Marti Monument in Havana's Revolution Square, Mirthia Julia Brossard Oris, head of the International Relations Department of the National Committee of the Young Communist League (UJC by its Spanish acronym), reaffirmed the commitment of the Cuban delegation to the approximately 20,000 congressmen from all over the world who will be attending the great event.

During the Standard Bearing Ceremony of the young delegates, Brossard Oris pointed out that this is not just another meeting, but an urgency of these times to denounce the policy of economic choking and economic restrictions caused by the U.S. government, and on behalf of oppressed people such as Palestine.
She also pointed out that the Cuban delegation is made up of around 150 young people, including doctors, teachers, scientists, farmers, and from all social sectors of the country.

During the ceremony, Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC, presented Aylin Alvarez Garcia, first secretary of the National Committee of the UJC, with the flag on behalf of the delegation.

Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, member of the Political Bureau of the PCC and foreign minister; Victor Koronelli, ambassador of the Russian Federation to Cuba, and other representatives of the Party, the State, the Government and the UJC were present at the ceremony.
