HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 26 (ACN) The Cuban-American National Foundation ( CANF) is actively working with organizations in Spain, with the purpose of organizing subversive courses abroad for the preparation of counterrevolutionaries residing in Cuba.
Basque political analyst Katu Arkonada, member of the Network of Intellectuals in Defense of Humanity, denounced, in an article published in the portal El Ciudadano, the visit to Spain, on January 24 this year, of Omar Lopez Montenegro, a CIA employee, director of the Foundation and proclaimed in his Facebook profile as a defender of human rights and expert in Nonviolent Strategic Action.
In the Iberian nation, Lopez Montenegro, under the excuse of presenting his book Lucha estrategica no violenta. 100 practical tips, contacted the counterrevolutionary ringleader Elena Larrinaga de Luis, a U.S. style political operative, sustained thanks to her close relations with the U.S. Embassy to Madrid.
Within her service record, the source pointed out, she appears as the first woman in charge of the Christian Democratic Party, of a "Cuban" character (although founded in Miami in 1991), president of the Women's Network of Cuba and secretary of International Relations of the Council for the Democratic Transition of Cuba, with funding from the Ned and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
The aim of Lopez Montenegro's trip, revealed to her superiors after her return to Miami, consisted of a meeting with Larrinaga de Luis, Frisia Batista, Ernesto Gutierrez Tamargo and Eugenia Gutierrez, to clarify the purpose of the CANF: to immediately boost the on-site training courses for Cuban counterrevolutionaries, Arkonada reported, based on sources in Washington.
The United States, Spain, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica and Peru are among the territories chosen for these classes, based on an action model that encourages the destabilization and ungovernability of Cuba following the manuals of non-conventional warfare or soft coup.
As an immediate action, the Foundation's director proposed to Larrinaga de Luis to train his inner circle on the island: Zuleidis Perez Velazquez, Dunia Media Marrero and Leticia Ramos Herrera, Arkonada warned.
He also emphasized Lopez Montenegro's exchanges in Madrid with members of the Venezuelan opposition and with Czech diplomats, advisors of the Cuban and Venezuelan counterrevolutionaries in an alleged defense of Human Rights.
As part of his itinerary, the CANF representative held a meeting in Mexico with Mariana Gomez del Campo, former senator of the ultra-right National Action Party, related to the Secretary General of the Organization of American States, Luis Almagro. She offered her support to actions against Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba, including the provocations to the Embassy of the Island in Mexico City, El Ciudadano detailed.
This international plot, financed by the satellite organizations of the U.S. State Department, constitutes a new attempt to destroy the Cuban Revolution, said Arkonada, who recalled such attempted soft coups as those of San Isidro, in 2020, the Archipelago project, in 2021, and the violent actions unleashed in some parts of the island territory, on July 11 that year.
